Types of abuse

1.Physical abuse: Case 1

Corporal punishment that Jane and her friends underwent inflicted pain and caused bodily injuries to her.She suffered a swollen hand.

2.Emotional abuse: Case 2

The teacher's negative remark on Sofia's weight affected her both emotionally and psychologically. She went underground, dropped academically, skipped school, hated herself and had  a low self-esteem.

3.Sexual abuse: Case 3

John suffered emotional, physical and sexual abuse from the sodomy. He had difficulty in walking due to the bodily harm, wore a sad face , became inactive and avoided mingling freely with his peers.

4.Neglect: Case 4

Mutulivu's parents abandoned their children and did not provide them with basic needs. They loitered around in search of food, the young ones remained behind lonely  and unprotected. They lacked parental love.

5.Exploitation: Case 5

Mita and Sulaa were made to skip school and help perform other duties at home. This is using children unfairly at the expense of their education. Besides, plans were underway to marry off Sulaa at a tender age for material gain. Indeed this is infringing on a girl child's right.
