It is important to make learners aware of their rights and risks they are exposed to.They should be made aware of the consequences of the abuse and how to protect themselves as well as where to report in case it happens.
Family offers the first level of protection to children and teaches the child the first lessons on safety and self-safeguarding. The community needs to ensure that its culture, traditions, all its activities and structures are safe and that they offer protection of every child.
Institutions whether national, county or local must have adequate child protection structures.
They should safeguard children and collaborate with each other to synergize and increase impact.
National structures include government and non-governmental institutions that contribute to protecting and safeguarding the wellbeing of children.
