High work pressure ; Impossible workloads; undisciplined learners; teacher burn-out; poor health; loss of loved ones; having terminally I'll family members; financial constraints ; dysfunctional marriages and family.
My own needs include high workload, my own health issues, loss of close family members.
Peer support groups are beneficial because they connect people, they build camaraderie, they expose members to a wide variety of views on any issue, provide a platform to learn from the experiences of others, indeed a problem shared is half solved.
Challenges. Group dynamics come into play. Members may form sub-groups within the main group; wariness for lack of confidentiality ; the vulnerability that comes with self disclosure ; balancing to get a convenient meeting time and place is a challenge since members have different work and social schedules.

During Covid 19pandemi, most teachers went through psychological and emotional challenges. Some were infected and relatives and friends infected. It was such a trauma to see significant people in the society die of Covid.
Personally, I was on leave, it ended during the lock down. My casualty was not returned and I went without a salary for three months. I needed someone to talk to and just be listened to.
There is need to have support group where one goes for supervision after being overwhelmed by issues at home and school. Also to gain knowledge on helping our students based on others experiences.
